Artist-researcher Kaisu Koski studied media and performance art and theory in the University of Lapland and Amsterdam University of the Arts. She earned her doctoral degree with a dissertation "Augmenting Theatre” on interactive performances in 2007. Kaisu is an Adjunct Professor of Arts-based research in the University of Tampere, Finland, and currently carries out an Academy Research Fellow project developing films for medical curricula in Finland, Denmark and the U.S. She has conducted research fellowships in the medical schools of University of Alberta, Plymouth University and Rice University, and published peer-reviewed articles about arts-based research, medical education and bioethics. Kaisu’s work has been exhibited in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia, in platforms such as Künstlerhaus Mousonturm Frankfurt, Hasselt Triennial, Estonian Museum of Applied Arts, The Lab in San Francisco and the CICA Museum in Korea, and received multiple official selections on the film festival circuit.
